This timepiece is limited to only 50 pieces worldwide.
In 1960 Grand Seiko released their first ever timepiece, crafted after a long-time pursuit for the ‘king of watches’ – a culmination of the watchmakers’ ambition to create the most precise, durable, and beautiful watch possible.
This limited-edition timepiece aims to accurately recreate the first Grand Seiko but with modern specifications. Its design takes inspiration from the ‘Hoshizukiyo’ painting meaning Van Gogh’s celebrated ‘Starry Night’ and its striking deep blue skies.
This classic timepiece is built with an 18 carat rose gold casing, crown and clasp. Under a dual-curve sapphire crystal glass, 18 carat rose gold indices are applied to a deep blue dial paired with a set of rose gold hour, minute and second hands. Built to be slim, this piece is only 10.9mm in depth. The navy crocodile leather strap complements the tones of the watch, but is also accompanied by an additional brown crocodile leather strap for versatility.
The exhibition case back showcases the in-house built 9S64 mechanical manual-winding movement. With a deviation accuracy of only +5/-3 seconds per day, it has a power reserve of three days.
Every Grand Seiko features signature high standards of precision, durability and legibility, handcrafted in Japan by Takumi artisans.
