There are just 1,200 pieces of this watch design available worldwide, created to mark the anniversary of the ‘Grand Seiko Style;’ the embodiment of the Grand Seiko design philosophy first established with the 44GS model in 1967.
The 44GS created a visually recognisable grammar of design for Grand Seiko watches to follow – balancing legibility and light for a beautifully clear and calm dial layout. This GMT timepiece also marks 20 years since the first Grand Seiko GMT – which enables the wearer to tell the time in multiple time zones at once with its GMT hand.
This 2022 commemorative piece is powered by the 9S86 Hi-Beat 36,000 Mechanical movement; a sophisticated watchmaking innovation through its precision-controlling mainspring, hairspring, and escapement.
Every Grand Seiko features signature high standards of precision, durability and legibility, handcrafted in Japan by Takumi artisans. Grand Seiko: beautifully, precise Japanese watchmaking, from the pinnacle of Seiko Watch Corporation’s in-house ‘manufacture.’
